Lavender, purple and dark rose spring blooms 3/4" across, covering rosettes 8" high. Ideal for rock gardens, banks and front of the border. Sow outdoors after last spring frost.

Evergreen, mound or mat-forming perennials. Common Aubrietas do well in full sun or light shade and will grow to approx. 6 in. Aubrieta is short-lived in sites that have hot summers. Works well on walls, or as a groundcover on a sunny bank. Aubrieta also makes a nice addition to a rock garden.

Seeds sow and germinate freely. Unfortunately, the seeds are generally hybridized and will not resemble the parental plant. Sow seeds in spring or fall, but provide cold protection if needed. Root cuttings in early summer.
