Muskmelon (Cucumis melo 'Netted Gem (Heirloom)') - Description
Like Jenny Lind, this melon has netted skin and sweet, pale-green, aromatic fruit. Introduced as Netted Gem in 1881, it later became synonymous with Rocky Ford, Colorado, a place that is still famous for producing delicious melons. Its large fruits are 2-3 lbs. apiece, and the vines are unusually productive.
