The Yellow Lady's Slipper Orchid is one of the most popular of Lady's Slipper Orchids. It is hardy enough that it can be grown outside in many temperate climates. The flower is a contrast of a brownish purple with a brilliantly yellow lower lip, which is the part of the flower that gives rise to its common name.
