Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) - Description
Ailanthus plants are native to China, but naturalized oer much of the United States. They were planted in the 1800s in California's gold country, where it now runs wild. It grows rapidly to heights of 50 feet tall and wide. It's leaves are 1 to 3 feet long, and are divided into 13-25 leaflets 3 to 5 inches long. The flowers on the male trees are smelly.

In this way, it can create problems, by for example interfering with sewers and pipers underground.
