Alumroot (Heuchera x 'Coral Bouquet') - Description
Splendid coral flowers on stiff branches which are excellent for cutting in early summer. Heuchera, often referred to as Coral Bells, is an excellent native American perennial for the garden. Colorful spikes of delicate looking blooms rise above uniquely shaped leaves. Persistent year round, the foliage is a focal point in the garden during the often dull months of late fall and winter. Remove spent flower spikes to encourage additional blooms throughout the summer. Use in the border, woodland, rock garden or as a ground cover! Plant with ferns, Hosta and Astilbe to create a quintessential woodland garden. Ht.9-12" Space 12" apart. Bloom time is in June. Perennial ground covers.

Heuchera blooms from April to August, sprays of small flowers apear on branching, wiry stems. The dainty flowers some times attract hummingbirds. Remove the flower stems, when the flowers fade.

These plants form dense, compact, evergreen clumps. They do well in full or half sun. Requires mulching on a yearly basis. May need replanting after a while.
