Meadow Cranesbill (Geranium x 'Midnight Reiter') - Description

Violet-blue flowers contrast wonderfully above dark purple-maroon, deeply divided foliage. Due to its minuscule size, this is a choice geranium for up close viewing in rock gardens and edgings of borders. Fantastic shade groundcover that will be a true highlight in any garden. Give 'Midnight Reiter' a hard trimming or even mowing after flowering to reinvigorate its foliage. Only other maintenance to speak of is to divide the plants every 3 to 4 years.

Meadow Cranesbill (Geranium x 'Midnight Reiter') - Blooming

Most Cranesbill start blooming in May and will continue through the autumn. If the summer heat causes the flowers to fad, trim back and water heavily to promote continued blooming.
