Oval-shaped beans are light buff, speckled with greenish-brown. Inedible pods, 5 in. long, each containing 5-6 beans. Used as dry beans baked, in chili and Mexican cooking. Dry shell stage about 85 days from planting. GARDEN HINTS: Do not work or handle plants when leaves are wet. Let pods mature, cut plants and dry well. Then shell seeds for later use.
