Arctic Blast Hosta (Hosta x 'Arctic Blast') - Description

The leaves of this shade loving hosta are an "arctic" frosted blue with white undersides and the leaf margins are wavy with twisted pointed tips. The leaves on 'Artic blast' are definitely skinnier and smaller than most Hosta varieties. Hosta 'Arctic Blast' has a vase-like upright habit and produces trumpet-shaped lavender flowers in midsummer. This plant would create a great visual display in a decorative container, as well as enhance your garden landscape.

Flowers in the summer with blue or white trumpet shaped flowers that will last for several weeks. Plantain Lilies are primarily grown for their unique foliage, however.

For brighter yellow and green hostas the more sun (not afternoon sun though!), the better these colors stand out.
