Aubretia (Aubrieta hybrids) - Description
Aubrieta are mat forming evergreens and perennials which will blanket themselves with small, usually purple, flowers. They are good in rock gardens, in hanging containers, or anywhere that let them spill over in a colorful display.

Blooms 4-petaled flowers on racemes in spring in a range of bright colors.

Evergreen, mound or mat-forming perennials. Common Aubrietas do well in full sun or light shade and will grow to approx. 6 in. Aubrieta is short-lived in sites that have hot summers. Works well on walls, or as a groundcover on a sunny bank. Aubrieta also makes a nice addition to a rock garden.
