HEIRLOOM. The most boldly colored of all amaranths. New growth is brilliant gold and scarlet, older foliage is green at the base, and splashed with red and yellow at the tips. Plants get 3-4' tall.

Blooms dense cymes of red or green flowers followed by seed heads. Prolong flowering by watering freely during dry summer periods.
