Propagate from the seed. Sow seeds 4 weeks before the last frost date in spring in your area for early summer crop. Can also sow 90-100 days before first frost in fall for late harvest. Sow seeds directly into the ground. Amend the soil with compost before planting. Space seeds according to root size variety--large roots 2" apart. Leave 12" room between rows.
