Celosia argentea, commonly known as plumed cockscomb, is a plant of tropical origin, and is known for its very bright colors.

Erect annuals, perennials, and shrubs. Some Cockscombs can grow to 3' tall and 1 1/2' wide. Grows best in full sun. Plants grow very well in pots and containers. Celosia is usually grown as an annual. The flowers are suitable for cutting and drying as they are long lasting.

The flowers are easy to harvest and dry for dried bouquets.
