Summers that get too hot may result in no blooms for the season. Provide protection for heat. Growth slows down when temperatures dip below 50°F (10°C). Temperatures below freezing may kill off the plant if it is not hardened first.
Twinspur (Diascia hybrids) - Planting
Seeds can be sown in early spring when temperatures reach 60°F (15°C) and the seeds are ripe. Cuttings can also be made in spring.
Twinspur (Diascia hybrids) - Pest
Prone to snails and slugs.
Twinspur (Diascia hybrids) - Interesting facts
The genera Diascia and Nemesia are comprised of relatively closely related plants (they are both in the same plant family, Scrophulariaceae). They both have similar cultural needs and are both great to use in mixed containers.

Does best in fertile and moist soil that is also well-drained. Moderate water is needed, but during especially dry times water more regularly.
