Purple Cranesbill (Geranium x magnificum) - Description

Geranium×magnificum (purple cranesbill) is a species of hardy flowering herbaceous perennial plant in the genus Geranium, Geraniaceae family. It is the result of hybridisation between Geranium platypetalum and Geranium ibericum. It has lobed leaves with violet-blue flowers in summer. It is suitable for cultivation in temperate regions. This plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
