Lettuce (Lactuca sativa 'Great Lakes') - Description
Medium green, fringed leaves make well-folded heads. This crispy, flavorful lettuce blanches white or creamy yellow in the center. This lettuce tolerates warm weather so it is o.k. that it takes 90 days after seeding for it to be ready for the table. Lettuce grows best in the cool weather of both spring and fall. Make successive plantings every week or two to extend period of harvest.
