Wild Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus) - Description

Narcissus pseudonarcissus (commonly known as wild daffodil or Lent lily) is a perennial flowering plant which grows from a bulb. It has pale yellow flowers with a darker central trumpet. The long, narrow leaves are slightly greyish in colour and rise from the base of the stem.

Daffodils require sandy, loamy soil that is well-drained. For the first week, water plant daily. Afterwards, water the plant as needed. Narcissus tazetta and N. jonquilla varieties do best with slightly alkaline soil, while N. bulbocodium, N. cyclamineus, and N. triandrus varieties prefer slightly acidic soil.
