Daffodil (Narcissus x 'Rosy Cloud') - Description
Garden showstoppers and great for cutting! Double daffodils are among the showiest of the spring bulbs and wonderful for cutting. (Plant enough so you can bring lots of blooms indoors!) Sporting more petals than the typical daffodil but no distinct cup or trumpet, they lend an exuberant note to the garden. They bring interesting texture to a planting of mixed daffodils and look especially fine with tulips.

Daffodils require sandy, loamy soil that is well-drained. For the first week, water plant daily. Afterwards, water the plant as needed. Narcissus tazetta and N. jonquilla varieties do best with slightly alkaline soil, while N. bulbocodium, N. cyclamineus, and N. triandrus varieties prefer slightly acidic soil.
