New England Aster (Aster novae-angliae 'Purple Dome') - Description
The glory of autumn, these natives are widely adapted and nearly pest-free. It has multitudes of purple 1-1/2" flowers with yellow centers.
New England Aster (Aster novae-angliae 'Purple Dome') - Blooming
Blooms can be white, blue, red, pink, lavender. Most flowers will have yellow centers and resemble a typical Daisy.

There are about 250 species of Asters, but generally they need full sun, or partial shade. Plants range in size from 6 inches to 6 ft. in height.
