A beautiful and economical alternative to fountain grass. Shiny, corn-like leaves start out green and turn intense purple, dark foliage is 4-5' tall. In late summer 12" cattail-like flower spikes are dusted with gold. Makes a dramatic centerpiece in almost any planting. Group several closely together in flower beds. Or grow a single plant in a large urn or container. Use young spikes in fresh flower bouquets or mature flower heads in dried arrangements. Grows best and colors up the deepest in full sun.
