Gymnocalycium (Gymnocalycium quehlianum) - Description
Gymnocalycium quehlianum (Quehla chin cactus) is a species of flowering plant in the family Cactaceae, native to northern Argentina. It is a spherical cactus growing to 5 cm (2 in) tall by 7 cm (3 in) wide, with ribbed stems bearing brown spines and white, daisy-like flowers in summer. In cultivation, where temperatures fall below 10 °C (50 °F) it requires the protection of glass. This plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
