This Tree Peony blooms have a unique bright orange edging that adds interest to the many layers of yellow petals on this fragrant double bloom flower. Paeonia suffruticosa 'Kinkaku', unlike garden peonies, have woody stems like a shrub that do not die back to the ground in winter and they blossom in the late spring, 2 to 3 weeks earlier than the garden varieties.
