Peony flowers are full and large (5-7" across), and their fragrance is enticing and sweet. Their desirability as cut flowers is legendary. Even after blooming, the foliage continues to add interest in the garden and is useful in floral arrangements. Burpee's low maintenance varieties thrive in full sun and rich, deeply cultivated, well-drained soil. May require staking to keep heavy blooms from flopping.
