Paeonia (Paeonia x smouthii) - Description
This hybrid Peony parents are P. lactiflora and P. tenuifolia. The foliage is fine cut with lots of segments (from it's parent P. tenuifolia). Single large, bright red flowers with yellow stamens stands above this fairly compact Peony that shouldn't exceed 32" in height or spread. This was originally a natural hybrid discovered amongst other Peonies in a garden and resulted in this unique, non fertile offspring.
