Petrocosmea (Petrocosmea kerrii) - Description

Small genus of plants native to shady and rocky slopes of Asia. Petrocosmeas are closely related to African Violets and are similarly difficult to care for.

Petrocosmea (Petrocosmea kerrii) - Growth

Petrocosmeas are sensitive to intense light and overwatering. When they are actively growing, they do best with medium to high humidity. Does not tolerate low humidity.

Plant seeds at when temperatures average 60°F (15°C) and when they are ripe. Additionally, leaf cuttings can be made for propagation. Make them in summer.
