Dwarf Lilac (Syringa meyeri) - Description

Syringa meyeri is a species of flowering plant in the lilac genus of the family Oleaceae. Growing to 2 m (7 ft) tall by 1. 2 m (4 ft) broad, it is a deciduous shrub with panicles of scented lilac flowers in early summer. It is often planted in smaller gardens where other lilac species would be too large. The cultivar 'Palibin', formerly S. palibiana or S. patula, has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
