Yellow Oleander (Thevetia neriifolia) - Description
Thevetia is a plant known to central and southern Mexico and Central America. It is a close relative of Nerium oleander, giving it one common name as Yellow Oleander, and is also called lucky nut in the West Indies. Thevetia peruviana is an evergreen tropical shrub or small tree. Its leaves are willow-like, linear-lanceolate, and glossy green in colour.
Yellow Oleander (Thevetia neriifolia) - Blooming
Blooms funnel-shaped flowers with 5 overlapping petals, singly or in cymes between spring and fall followed by red seed pods that turn black. Each pod contains 1-2 seeds.

Evergreen shrubs and small trees. Thevetias do well in full sun. Height varies depending on variety. One species will reach 12 ft. tall. Grow in a temperate or warm greenhouse in regions where temperatures drop below 55-59°F (13-15°C). Thevetia works well in a shrub border.

Thevetias require regular irrigation. Water liberally during the growing season, less in winter. After flowering, stop watering for a short time. Does best in rich soil that is well-draining, yet kept moist.
