Lettuce (Lactuca sativa 'Bibb Blend') - Description
An attractive blend of Burpee's red-blushed and green Bibb lettuces creates a wonderful salad mix. Thin initially to stand 3-4 in. apart when 1-2 in. high. Wait 2-3 weeks, thin out alternate plants for final spacing of 6-8 in. Then harvest the Bibb lettuce heads about 60 days after sowing seeds. These plants love the cool weather so sow in early spring and plant new beds every couple of weeks to keep the harvest coming.
